Nicholas in Form 6 has received a brilliant early Christmas present, securing a place on a top Cricket Training Programme!
The junior sports star passed a series of trials at Yorkshire Pathways Cricket and has been offered a place with their Bronze Elite Centre.
Nicholas is Ghyll Royd’s Sports Captain and plays an integral part in the school’s sports teams, while he also keeps staff, parents and pupils up to date with regular match reports in the weekly assemblies.
Charlie and Nicholas, both in Form 6, previously represented the Bradford and Calderdale Under 10 Cricket team over the summer and both pupils represented Ghyll Royd, winning the Cricket league in the School Sports Partnership. Charlie has also been offered a place with Yorkshire Pathways, which he found out about last month.
Nicholas is in his final year at Ghyll Royd. Form 6 Teacher Mrs Marshall said: “Nicholas is doing extremely well this year, working hard towards his entrance exams in January.”
