Charlie in Form 6 has had a brilliant week in and out of school!
Charlie recently sat his Grade 2 Piano exam which he passed with a high merit! The musician also plays the violin and treated us to both instruments in last week’s assembly. See below for a beautiful rendition of The Piper o’ Dundee from back in September.
In Sport, Charlie has been selected for the Squad of the Junior Professional Cricket Programme at Headingley after a tough trial process. The fantastic all-rounder has also passed a 7 week trial at Yorkshire Pathways Cricket where he has now been offered a place with their Bronze Elite Centre!
Charlie and Nicholas, both in Form 6, previously represented the Bradford and Calderdale Under 10 Cricket team over the summer and both pupils represented Ghyll Royd, winning the Cricket league in the School Sports Partnership. Mum and Dad say Charlie is very pleased with himself, as he should be, and we are very proud too!
Mrs Marshall, Charlie’s Form teacher, has been really impressed with Charlie during his first term in Form 6. His attitude to learning and his enthusiasm will serve him well in his final year at Ghyll Royd and beyond!
