Prep School Registration and Fees

Termly Fees include 175 days (36 weeks) of tuition within a maximum class size of 16 children and the provision for any additional support and resources that may be needed, both for children who require extended challenge and for those who may need further support.

The Termly Fees include daily home cooked lunches freshly made by our 5 Star rated catering team and served to the children in our dining hall, morning milk and fresh fruit from ages 2-7, plus a wide variety of sports activities including a weekly 30-minute swimming session with a qualified swimming instructor.

Additional charges are made for before and after school care, a variety of indoor and outdoor extracurricular clubs, peripatetic music tuition, examinations and trips and visits.

Siblings

We offer fee reductions for families with 2 or more children. Contact the School Office for more information. We do not offer fee reductions for the Nursery.

Scholarships

Scholarships are currently available for Academic, Music and Sport and are awarded to children who academically are likely to be in the top ten percent of their class and/or displaying artistic or athletic excellence and/or excelling in a personal extracurricular activity or area of study.

Subsidised scholarship places may be offered with a reduction in school fees depending on your child’s performance on their scholarship entrance day and examinations together with musical and sporting qualifications, awards, rankings and statements from the child’s instructors and coaches. No sibling reductions are available on subsidised scholarship places and scholarships are only available for children within Key Stage 2.

Fees for Ghyll Royd School and Pre-School are reviewed annually and any changes are effective at the start of the school year.

Bursaries

Ghyll Royd School strives to make its education accessible to all. To help make this possible a number of bursaries can be awarded by the Finance Governor per academic year. Bursaries are awarded by a set criteria and are allocated in as fair a manner as possible.

All bursary awards are reviewed and revised annually to reflect any changes in fees.

Parents wishing to apply for a bursary should contact the Headteacher to arrange a visit. If after the visit they wish to seek a place for their child they should complete and return the entry and means test forms and return them to the school. The school will then notify the parents of the level of bursary available.
