Pupils at Ghyll Royd School secure places at their secondary schools of choice be it 11 plus, maintained or Independent schools through consistently completing entrance exams successfully, many entering into higher level streams and on academic, sports and musical scholarships. Our small class sizes and approach to teaching through the ‘Learning Challenge Curriculum’ enables the school to provide a very individual approach to learning, ensuring each child has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
‘All pupils make good progress and their attainment is above and sometimes well above the levels that are expected for their ages and abilities’ (Ofsted 2011).
