Miss King: “Thank you!”

Teaching Assistant Miss King went to Ghana over October half term to help teach young children with Church on the Way. Before her trip, Miss King asked parents and staff for donations of paint, tin foil, brushes, and other art equipment. Several of you were so generous and donated lots for Miss King to take on her trip. This is Miss King’s second trip to Africa this year after visiting Uganda to teach over summer.

Miss King said: “I went to Ghana and worked in a school called Calvary Chapel Bible School. I ran the nursery for a week introducing the children to new sensory activities and learning.”

“We did phonic songs, bible stories, sensory things such as play dough, shaving foam and making instruments and lots more I also spent the evenings in the bible college teaching English to older students. I want to thank all staff and parents who donated generously, you have all helped make a big difference to the children’s education in the school.”
