Ghyll Royd School held an Eco Schools Day with the Woodland Trust to reach Gold level in the Green Tree Schools Award scheme.
Pupils from Forms 1-6 spent the whole day outside learning and exploring in their outdoor classroom, completing activities set by Mel from the Woodland Trust. Pupils in Forms 1 and 2 decorated one of the trees at Greystone Manor earlier that day in their Tree Dressing Challenge, and children in Forms 3 and 4 made muddy Tree Champions who would look after and protect the land.
After lunch, it was time for pupils in Form 5 and Form 6 to complete their challenge: Finding a View. Read about their challenge and see the results in the Sway presentation below!
