Unbeaten!

Ghyll Royd’s U10s have brought home the School Sports Partnership Netball trophy after going unbeaten throughout the season.

In the semi-final they faced their toughest match yet against Burley Oaks Primary, but managed to push through and win 7-2.

Next up was the final in the League against the also unbeaten Burley & Woodhead CoE team. Heidi, Phoebe C and Tiarna, all in Form 5, were excellent in defence and kept the tactically aware attacking players out for most of the game. Lead by team captain Bryony, the girls had a great final game, playing the best Mr Nicholson has seen all season. Ghyll Royd won the final 11 points to 6.

Well done to all teams who participate in the School Sports Partnership, and a very big thank you to the pupils and representatives from Ilkley Grammar School and organiser Peter Blackwell for running this fantastic sports series from Netball to Cricket, to Football and Rounders!
