HELP FUND THE TRIP OF A LIFETIME FOR GABRIEL
Form 2 pupil Gabriel, 7, has been golfing for the past 2.5 years after taking an interest from a very young age. It was clear from the beginning that Gabriel had a talent! Through training after school, taking part in weekend junior tournaments and travelling the country, he has developed a love and passion for the sport.
In 2016 & 2017 Gabriel was named European Junior Tour Finals Champion for his age group and was ranked 3rd in the UK for boy golfers aged 6 and under in 2017. He has won a number of tournaments including stages in the European Junior Golf Tour, first place in various Adidas Wee Wonders qualifier tournaments, eventually ending in 3rd place at the Grand Final at St Andrews in 2017. This year has been just as busy, with him competing on the European Junior Tour, most recently winning at the British Par 3 Championship course at Nailcote Hall. He will again be competing at the 2018 Wee Wonders Final in St Andrews.
Following his performance at the US Kids European Championships in May, where he was one of a few of the best juniors in Europe to have shot a round under par, he has been invited to the most prestigious junior event in the global golfing calendar – the US Kids World Championship, held at Pinehurst, North Carolina in August. This wonderful offer to join in with the tournament is a brilliant achievement for young Gabriel. Unfortunately, this comes as an unexpected cost on top of various other tournaments that has already been booked. Despite his hard work and dedication, the trip may not be possible due to funding. We are asking for donations, big or small, to help fund Gabriel’s element of his dream to travel to the tournament and display his talents and further his young golfing career.
