On their latest trip, Great Explorers visited Ilkley Tarn for a second time – this time to look for changes to the landscape as they looked for signs of Spring. Spring has officially sprung on Ilkley Tarn, with the little ducklings swimming alongside their mothers, the bright flowers blooming on the ground, and the sun shining on the water breaking through the bitter cold. The children remembered their previous topic of evergreen and deciduous trees and pointed out the trees which had kept their leaves and colour during the Autumn and Winter.
Some of the children come to the Tarn quite frequently with their families and pets, so were eager to point out where they’ve been and what they do there! For some, it was their first time visiting, and they loved seeing the ducks quacking away!
