Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea Concert 2018

Mummies and Grannies spent the afternoon with pupils at the annual Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea Concert on Tuesday 6th March. Pupils performed a series of poems, songs and dances as guests sat back, relaxed, and enjoyed cakes with tea and coffee.

The Concert opened with a lovely poem read by William in Form 2. Children from Little Adventurers, Great Explorers, Reception, Form 1 and Form 2 and ballerinas from Key Stage Two all took part in the event. The pupils had also created gorgeous, handmade gifts to surprise their mums and grandmas with. The sharing of the gifts is always such a magical moment as the children are delighted to present something they’ve made to their parents.

Our visitors also enjoyed performances from ballerinas in Key Stage Two. Pupils danced beautifully to the numbers choreographed by Miss Fiona.

The Concert was organised by Specialist Music Teacher Mrs Liz Coultas who is instrumental in creating the most wonderful events every year including the Palm Court Tea Concert, the Nativity and the Key Stage Two production. Thank you to Mrs Coultas, Miss Fiona, and our Early Years and Key Stage One staff for organising the Concert – a much-loved event on the Ghyll Royd calendar!
