In this week’s Art lesson, Form 1 examined the work of artist Vincent van Gogh to create their own Sunflower pictures.
The famous still life painting was used for pupils to observe and replicate to create their own pictures. Art Teacher Miss Smith encouraged the children to look very closely, focusing on one piece at a time. Henry did a brilliant job at copying out the long petals of the sunflower. Neve created a beautiful drawing using different levels of pressure on the pencil to make heavier and lighter shades.
