Great Explorers LOVED their mini bushcraft activity on Friday afternoon. Using real hammers, the children knocked golf tees into fruits. You can see the focus on their faces as they use their fine motor skills to safely hit the tees into the apples and oranges.
Sophia made a hedgehog and Matilda made a spider!
Using real tools with adult supervision has been shown to improve problem solving skills and increase children’s focus on a task. And with the addition of learning outdoors, what’s not to love about this activity?!
