Rainbow Toes & Magic Hands!

In Little Adventurers this week, we’re learning about COLOURS.

We took our shoes and socks off and placed our feet in a pile of paint. We then walked along a long piece of paper and danced around to colour the floor in. We learnt about the primary colours, red, yellow and blue by putting our feet in the correct colour.

Then we learnt about how we can mix colours to create new colours! We danced together and jumped up and down on the paint with our blue and yellow feet and made GREEN! We did the same with red and yellow and made orange. And the blue and the red paints made purple – Mrs Davis’s favourite!

Later in the week, we made magic hand paintings to continue learning about the colours. We had one hand painted and then pressed it on the paper, then had our other hand painted a different colour and did the same. The brush tickled our hands. We then rubbed our hands together, and pressed both on the paper and had made a brand new colour!

Alexander’s blue and yellow hands made green; and Thea made orange! We thought it was magic!

In Early Years, we love getting messy and creative!
