Stay and Play – Shimmy and Sway!

This term our Stay and Play sessions have been super! The new, quieter area is great for a place to dress up, play and read with our mummies and daddies. Up the stairs to Mrs Coultas’ Music Room, we started our Music Notes session with a song where we pointed to our different body parts including our eyes, ears and nose. We then followed Mrs Coultas’ instructions and played musical statues. When the music stopped, Mrs Coultas would say what she wanted us to do and we’d freeze in that position. We got the claves, drums and tambourines out and had lots of fun playing loudly and quietly.

In Art Splash we painted big Cheshire cat grins with Mrs Smith. Some of us painted each tooth a different colour which made a very funny looking smile.

Outside we ran around, but because of the snow and ice we had to be extra careful. We have one last Stay and Play before Christmas on Friday 8th December, a festive special, then we will be returning for our first session of 2018 on Friday 15th January!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from the Stay and Play team!
