Can You Sea the See?

Form 2 went on a hunt for the correct homophones in the adventure playground for their English lesson on Thursday.

Dotted around the playground were cards which had a number on one side which corresponded to a sentence on their clipboards. In each sentence there was a gap which had to be filled in with a word from the other side of the card. Pupils had to think about the meaning and the subject of the sentence to add the correct homophone. For example: “Can you make me a cup of ___?” was the sentence which the children had to try and complete with either the word ‘tea’ or ‘tee’.

Some of the children got very confused as their seemed to be one card missing. It wasn’t attached to the goal post, or the fence, or the slide…

Eagle eyed Oscar spotted the remaining card attached the Miss Roberts’s coat! When the rest of the class saw what Oscar had found they all laughed at how the clue had been in front of them the whole time!

Learning outdoors is a great way of exercising the brain and body and makes lessons more memorable for our pupils!

Oscar found the last card!
