We have all been very busy in ASC since the start back in September. The children have enjoyed playing with the football, pool and hockey table. They have been very busy building with Lego and Kinex and the year 5 boys have been building their own Air fix kits. I must say, it’s been lovely to see the older children playing together and helping the younger children to have fun and join in.
There has been lots of arts and crafts going on too! We have been painting hands, tin foil, finger printing autumn leaves, making 3d trees, wooden spoon people making to name but a few! Halloween and Bonfire night activities were fun! We carved out the pumpkins ready for the Halloween party and had lots of laughs apple bobbing and playing Halloween party games.
We are currently trialling Movie night Friday (…with pizza) and so far the children have been loving it …if your child is interested in joining in, then please let Gilly in the office know.
Christmas is now not too far away and I have planned lots of fun activities for the children to enjoy and a Christmas party the week before they break up.
The move up to the ICT suite has gone well with all the children enjoying the space and flexibility that the room offers. We’ve had a few teething problems not being able to hear the main front door bell so we have our own doorbell located above the others at the front door …it is clearly marked so give it a press!!
Finally, the younger children would really benefit from a small dolls house and/or a garage so if any family have one they would be able to kindly donate to ASC please speak to myself or Gilly.
