A little Birdie has been telling us all about a Form 2 pupil’s amazing summer as he competed in several golf tournaments around the world.
Gabriel competed in the US Kids Venice Open. He did extremely well competing in an older category out of his age group and finished 13th out of 28 boys, the highest placing 6 year old!
At the end of August, Gabriel competed in the Adidas Wee Wonders Grand Final at St Andrews. He played a great game and came 2nd place out of 27 boys. Gabriel is now ranked 2nd in the UK for boys 6 years old and under.
Last week, he played in another European Junior Golf Tour event at Waterton Park in Wakefield. He played extremely well and won his category by 8 shots!

It’s great to see Gabriel come back to school on a Monday with a giant grin on his face as he tells us what he’s been up to. It’s just as great, if not greater, when he comes in with not one, but two medals! He received these after playing at Hartford Golf Club at the weekened where he played a fantastic 1 under par, winning by 15 shots! On Sunday, his second medal came from Pryor Hayes Golf Club, finishing in 1st place by 3 shots. These results over the weekend have gained Gabriel direct entry into the UK Tour Championship in 2018.
