Children were invited to the re-opening of the Ilkley Lido Outdoor Pool for their weekly Thursday swim session.
Every Thursday morning, pupils from Reception to Form 6 enjoy swimming lessons at Ilkley Swimming Pool, and have the opportunity to compete in galas with other schools. On Tuesday, pupils from Forms 4, 5 and 6 competed in the Jubilee Interschools gala. Read more on the gala here.
After a short term packed with SATs for Forms 2 and 6, and as preparation for the end of the school year is underway, the swim was an opportunity for the children to have some fun in the sun!
The beautiful weather shone over the blue pool. The children enjoyed a fun swim in the large pool, a slippery trip down the pool’s slide and a splash under the waterfall feature.
Thank you to Ilkley Lido for letting us have exclusive use of the pool this week. The children had a fantastic time!
