Hesketh Farm Trip

The Little Adventurers, Great Explorers and Reception pupils all hopped on the Ghyll Royd minibus for a trip to Hesketh Farm!

We got up to all sorts on our day at the farm. There was a giant hay maze we had to wander our way through, it all looked so similar so it was really easy to get lost!

We got to see and interact with lots of different animals including donkeys and shetland ponies who were relaxing outside in the lovely sunshine.

We prepared and fed milk for lambs and calves.

Then we all took it in turns to hold and brush the Guinea Pigs who were super soft and cute.

There were so many piglets in their pen with their mummy pig, who we brushed with a large broom.

The Farm had an Easter Egg hunt where we found 12 different rabbits, all with a different name and number of eggs. The hunt was fun, and also tested our maths and literacy skills by counting the different eggs and spelling and saying the different names of the rabbits.

George the tortoise was very friendly and posed for a picture with our two Georges!

There was so much to see and do at the Farm and we had a lot of fun meeting the different animals.
