Thank you to all the parents and grandparents who attended our Achievement Assembly and Macmillan Coffee Morning. Your generosity raised a fantastic £315 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Ghyll Royd grandparents enjoy a morning of lessons and raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support
Last week saw Ghyll Royd’s annual Grandparents’ Day and Macmillan Coffee Morning. Grandparents of children at Ghyll Royd School and Pre-School spent an enjoyable morning attending assembly and sharing lessons with their grandchildren.
Grandparents’ Day is held every year with the number of attendees increasing every year. Grandparents’ Day also coincided with the school’s Macmillan Coffee Morning. Thanks to the generosity of everyone involved over £315 was raised for the charity.
Mr David Martin Head Teacher at Ghyll Royd said ‘Our annual Grandparents Day and Macmillan Coffee Morning is always a popular event with parents and Grandparents who enjoy the opportunity to relax and chat with other families whilst enjoying some homemade baking. Our grandparents love the opportunity to see the children in school and gain a small insight into their grandchildren’s school life. ’
