A big thank you to Ashlands School and Ilkley Harriers who hosted the Wharfedale League Cross-Country event for the local Primary School children. As you an see from the pictures all the children enjoyed the day’s races.
Over 20 children from School went to Ilkley Rugby Club to participate in a cross country run. Our distance was between 200 and 1200 meters long. There were over 30 boys and girls competing in each race. It was quite dry and had no hills! Luckily there were lots of people cheering us on. We were all relieved when we saw the finish line! When we all finished we congratulated everyone on their place. We had a lot of fun and that’s what we went there for. Thank You to all the teachers, Westville and Shirley from Ilkley Harriers for organising the event.
