Children from Educate the Kids, a charity group from Kenya, will be coming into school on Tuesday 10th October to share stories and enjoy lunch with Ghyll Royd pupils. They will get a chance to ask, and be asked questions, as well as play games with the children.
From 2pm, the Singing Children of Africa choir will perform a short selection of music ahead of their full performance at Ilkley Grammar School on Wednesday 11th October 2017. Children from Ghyll Royd’s choir will perform in return.
Ghyll Royd families are all welcome to come along and watch both choirs perform. The choir will perform a full concert at Ilkley Grammar School on Wednesday 11th October from 7pm.
Educate the Kids and the Singing Children of Africa are touring England and Scotland for one month. The charity helps the poorest of children access education in Africa. To find out more about their work, visit the Educate the Kids website.
