We’re fundraising for The Singing Children of Africa’s visit in October 2018. Each of the three Ghyll Royd Houses have been thinking of ways to fundraise ahead of their arrival.
Rodney House has organised a fun run to raise money for Educate the Kids. The Charity is visiting us on Wednesday 3rd October with their amazing choir: The Singing Children of Africa.
All pupils can run, walk, skip or jog their way around the school field 4.5 times, equating to a 1 mile journey, a fraction of what some children walk every single day to get to their school.
Please could all children bring a change of sensible running clothes. Could each child bring in £1.50 (£1.00 to take part in the walk and 50p for an ice lolly afterwards). Parents are also welcome to join in. If you would like to join in, please bring £1.00 to enter. The fun run will take place on the school field from 3.10pm.
This event replaces the regular weekly House meetings.
