Living History Day

Greystone Manor Hall turned into a Dark Age Village to support the children’s study of Viking life England. Viking costumes, tools and weapons were provided as children carry out a range of activities in their settlement such as grinding wheat, weapons training, guard duty, pottery, field and house work. What a wonderful day the children had. They got so much out of the day and it has really inspired them. Thanks to www.murtonpark.co.uk for providing the staff who gave a lively and interesting talk, using many replica artefacts as prompts with question and answers throughout the day.
