At Ghyll Royd, we are always looking forward, investing in new ideas, facilities and experiences that enrich every child’s learning journey.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our school community, we’ve recently been able to fundraise for new computers, interactive screens, and an exciting climbing frame and slide, all of which have added tremendous value to daily school life.
But we’re not stopping there. Our next fundraising goals include the next phase of our playground development, projects that will further enhance our outdoor provision and sporting opportunities for all pupils and also investment in the best possible day to day resources to support our lessons.
These initiatives are funded through a blend of school resources, school events, and the ongoing efforts of our School Council and tuck shop team, showing what can be achieved when our community pulls together.
Ways to Get Involved
1. Easy Fundraising – Shop & Support
Support Ghyll Royd every time you shop online, at no extra cost to you. Simply visit easyfundraising.org.uk and select Ghyll Royd School as your chosen cause. Thousands of retailers (including Amazon, John Lewis, and Marks & Spencer) will donate a percentage of your purchase directly to our school.
It’s a simple, effective way to make a difference, all while doing your usual shopping.
2. Attend Our Events
Ghyll Royd hosts a range of exciting events throughout the year, from summer fairs and quizzes to festive celebrations. These events are not only fun, they’re also vital in helping us achieve our fundraising goals. Check our Events page or follow us on social media to stay up to date and join in.
Sponsor a Seat; A Lasting Legacy
We’re proud to have made significant improvements to our school hall, including acoustic upgrades and the installation of a retractable tiered seating system, creating a fantastic space for performances, assemblies, and community events.
Now, we’re offering families, friends, and businesses the chance to sponsor a seat and become part of Ghyll Royd’s legacy.
For a donation of £250, your chosen wording (up to 35 characters) will be engraved on a dedicated plaque on the reverse of one of our seats, whether to mark your child’s time at Ghyll Royd, commemorate a loved one, or promote your local business.
Sponsoring a seat supports our ‘Theatre of Dreams’ initiative, helping us deliver an outstanding arts and performance space for all children, now and in the future.
As Ghyll Royd School is a registered charity, seat sponsorship is also a tax-deductable business expense, if applicable.
