Ghyll Royd Nursery provides care for children from the age of 3 months until the age of 4 and is housed in purpose built rooms within Ghyll Royd School. At the age of 2.5 children then have the opportunity to progress to our Preschool. The Nursery is open for 50 weeks of the year closing for 2 weeks at Christmas and all statutory Bank Holidays and is open from 8.00am until 6.00pm.

The Nursery has a staffing ratio of 3 children to one carer in addition to a Deputy Manager. Whilst at Nursery your child will be involved in a number of wonderful activities.  These include, painting, sand and water play, music and singing, role play and much more.

The Nursery is housed in two purpose built rooms that link to a wonderful purpose built outdoor play area. 

We recognise that fresh air is an important aspect of everyday life and therefore encourage the children to explore our outdoor play area as well as taking them for short walks. Our outdoor play area features a wonderful sensory path, a wooden gazebo and a Teletubbies Hill, a range of outdoor toys and a wildlife pond.
