Wharfedale League hosted by All Saint’s School – 2/3/13

What a terrific morning Ghyll Royd had!  We had some tremendous results -

4 Individual Medal Winners -

Year 2 boys Joshua Marlow 3rd place. Year 3 girls Sarah Bradley 2nd place. Year 5 boys Max Bradley 2nd place and Year 6 boys Luke Tweed 2nd place.

5 Team Certificates awarded to -

Year 2 boys 2nd place. Year 4 boys 2nd place. Year 5 boys 3rd place. Year 5 girls 2nd place and Year 6 boys 1st place!

The Wharfedale Cross Country League had a spectacular start at Ghyll Royd School – 6/10/12

On Saturday 6^th October Ghyll Royd School hosted the opening cross country event of the Wharfedale Cross Country League. 22 schools entered the event with over 1000 entrants and spectators attending on the day. Ghyll Royd School’s cross country organiser David Martin commented “I was relieved that the sun shone after the recent heavy rain, parts of the course were soft and sticky, giving the children both a real test and a taste of cross-country. I would like to say a big thank you to all the schools, teachers, officials, volunteers and spectators for making the day a wonderful experience for all the children and a special thanks to Shirley Wood from Ilkley Harriers”.
