Swine Flu Advice

The School is continuing to monitor the recent outbreak of ‘Swine Flu’. In the event of a school pupil or staff member becoming infected, the following action should be taken:

1. The infected person should stay at home and contact their GP or NHS Direct (0845 4647) and contact the school.

2. The person should not come to school or make contact with other pupils as this may spread the disease.

3. Once the school is alerted to a suspected outbreak, the Health Authority will be notified.

4. If confirmed, the school is likely to be closed for a period of 5 days and parents may be contacted by Health Authorities.

5. The school will reopen when permitted.
