Scholarships

Ghyll Royd School offers scholarships to girls and boys wanting to join from other schools in the area who will benefit from the education we offer and our individualised approach.

This year we are inviting children aged  7 - 9 years to sit our entrance examination which consists of an English paper, a maths paper and a non verbal reasoning paper. Those who perform particularly well and who we feel will be happy with us, may be offered a subsidised place at Ghyll Royd.

We are also inviting parents interested in a subsidised place for younger children, to contact the school with a view to them joining us for a more informal assessment taster day.

Subsidised places may be offerred up to a reduction of 50% depending on the child's performance on the day, their previous school reports and the impression staff have gained from the day the children have spent with us.
