Welcome to our Ghyll Royd School Alumni website.  These pages are designed to enable alumni to reconnect with old friends and keep in touch with each other and the life of the school.

 

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Wendy Sutherland who has worked tirelessly over the years to keep in contact with many of the Ghyll Royd Old Boys and who has been instrumental in keeping the database updated.  Wendy has now passed over the mantle to Sally Westlake.  Sally is married to Henrie Westlake who attended Ghyll Royd between 1979 and 1984. Sally and Henrie have two young boys, William currently attends the Nursery and Edward will be starting in Jan 2008.

 

With Sally’s help we are trying to develop a strong Ghyll Royd alumni association.  We currently have over 700 Old Boys on our database and would be delighted to hear from you, whether to update your contact details, let us know about a new job, new additions to your family or various other milestones in your life.  We are extremely interested to hear your news and update you on the events and achievements of Ghyll Royd.

 

If you would like to visit Ghyll Royd for a ‘wander down memory lane’ then please get in touch with us.  Mrs Connor would be delighted to take you on a tour of the school and to show you all the new developments taking place.

Besides the weekly school newsletter we are hoping to produce an annual Old Boys newsletter.  If you would like to be involved, would like to include some of your news or help with sponsorship please contact Sally, her email address is sally.westlake@btinternet.com.

 

We would also like to get our Old Boys involved in more of our school events.  We always have an Old Boy doing a reading at the Carol Service, we have a ‘young’ Old Boy as the Hare at the Ghyll Royd Cross Country and we often have tables of Old Boys at the school Ball.
